Maverix wasn’t born in a boardroom. It started with two brothers—Kyle and Dillon—living just outside of Fort Bragg, North Carolina, serving their country as brothers in arms and roommates under one roof. When we weren’t training or working, we found freedom in two wildly different worlds: golf and rodeo.
To most, the two sports couldn’t be more different. But for us, they carried the same spirit—discipline, challenge, and grit. After long weeks, we’d grab our clubs or head to the rodeo pen. One day, after a casual round of golf (and more than a few Coors lattes), we got to talking about something that had been bothering us: golf apparel.

We never felt comfortable in what we wore on the course. Everything felt too “preppy” or covered in loud floral prints—styles that didn’t reflect who we were. We thought, why isn’t there golf gear for people like us? People with a Western spirit, who appreciate authenticity, hard work, and a little grit with their game?
That day, the idea for Maverix was born.

As we always do with big ideas, we brought it to the people who know us best—our family. To our surprise (and huge relief), they didn’t just support it, they believed in it. Our mother, a true business guru, immediately started helping us strategize. Our father—an artist at heart—brought our vision to life with hand-drawn designs that would eventually inspire our logo and early collections.
From that moment, Maverix became more than just an idea—it became a family mission.

We didn’t have investors, fancy offices, or a big team. We were bootstrapped and fueled by grit. Every night after work, we sketched designs, reached out to suppliers, networked with anyone who would listen, and poured every ounce of energy into this brand.
It wasn’t easy. There have been plenty of lows, but each high has made the journey worth it. Today, Maverix is carving out its own lane—not just in golf apparel, but in the Western lifestyle world.
